Why you can rest in God, if you Believe!

What the Bible verses say about resting in God and His promises. His promise is our provision. 

He said- “Come to me all you who labour, I will give you Rest”

So here are the many reasons why you can rest with peace in Christ. 

Even one line from this list is sufficient to give us that peace and rest if we truly believe in Him.

  1. You are chosen by God for His good purpose.
  2. You are already saved by His blood. It is a finished work. Not incomplete or yet to happen. Finished.Done.
  3. If while we were sinners he loved us, how much more now? Which father does not love His children?
  4. He has made you ‘Children of God’. What more can he make of you?
  5. Christ is in you. Indwelling in you. The power and the person that resurrected Him from the dead is with in you.
  6. You have been adopted to sonship of God. Co-heirs with Christ. Brothers and sisters to Christ.
  7. You have inherited the Kingdom of God. Now, it is yours in this life…not in a distant future.
  8. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit- who is your counsellor, guide, advocate, a downpayment and guarantee to your salvation.
  9. Christ died for you, was buried, rose again and is seated at the Right hand of the Father in heaven. He is your King, King of Kings.
  10. Christ and the Holy Spirit pray for you daily. None other than God is rooting and praying for you daily even if you don’t know how or what to pray.
  11. He said ‘Be Still and Know I am God”. So just rest and be still. He will do the rest. That’s His promise.
  12. God works All things for the Good of those who Love Him and are called according to His good purpose. 
  13. He sees all things, knows all things, can do all things- do you have a better friend when in need.
  14. Those whom he called (YOU) He WILL justify, sanctify and glorify! No drop outs- He will take you over the finish line.
  15. If God is for you, who can be against you? Really which mortal or force can be against you? None.
  16. Who can condemn you whom God has chosen? No one.
  17. He has crushed the head of Satan on the cross- so he cant accuse you of past sins- So there is, no guilt in life, no fear in death.
  18. Nothing. Nothing. Really nothing, can separate us from the Love of God.
  19. Is anything that God does unjust? No not at all. He is always right. ALWAYS! Even if you are suffering.
  20. Heaven and Earth may pass away, but His word (Promises) will not pass away.
  21. He is a faithful God- faithful to His children. Faithful for His name’s sake. So he has more than you at stake. Himself.
  22. If you declare Jesus is LORD and Believe- You will be saved. No questions asked. No if’s and but’s. You will be saved.
  23. Any one who believes in Him will never be put to shame. 
  24. He will equip you and send you out in His name. So you can share and reflect His Love. You are not alone.
  25. From Him, Through Him and For Him are ALL THINGS. Even you. Even your problems, your success, your failure, your joy, your life.
  26. Seek God and His Kingdom and He will give you all things. Much more than you can imagine.
  27. Ask-Seek-Knock. Ask in His name and consider it done
  28. The battle belongs to Him. Cast all your anxieties at His feet.
  29. Blessed are the poor in Spirit, For theirs is the Kingdom of heaven, your broken heart he will not despise.
  30. Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted, your tears will be wiped by His hands.
  31. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth, in your humility you will be made strong
  32. Blessed are those who hinger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled, filled with his righteousness.
  33. Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy, His mercy that is total and complete in the blood of Christ
  34. Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God, see and bask in His Glory.
  35. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be children of God, his heirs.
  36. Blessed are those who are persecuted for Righteousness for they will see the Kingdom of God. therefore rejoice when persecuted.
  37. He has given us the Mind of Christ, renewed day by day by His grace. So think big and bold and be freed by His power.
  38. His grace is sufficient. He has given each according to their need. Free grace. 
  39. You yourself, your body is God’s temple. He dwells in you. Hence be glad in offering it as a living sacrifice to Him.
  40. All things are yours, when in Christ. ALL THINGS.
  41. It is God who makes you stand firm in Christ. He holds you in His Right Hand
  42. When you believed in Him, the Old has gone, the new has arrived. The past has been nailed to the Cross-you are called to a new life.
  43. God takes pleasure in you, when you have steadfast hope in Him. 
  44. No one can snatch you out of Christ’s hand. And no one can snatch you from the Father’s hand. Double protection guaranteed.
  45. Your broken and contrite heart God will not despise. He will repay beauty for ashes. Every tear is a worship offering.
  46. He said ‘My peace, My own peace, I give You. So do not be troubled in your heart”.
  47. It is by His Grace you have been saved. Freely. Nothing to do but receive with thanksgiving.
  48. You have access to the Father through Christ- always. You can approach God with confidence and freedom.
  49. You are protected from the wrath of God by the redemptive power of blood of Christ. 
  50. You are filled with the fullness of God to love one another and to forgive all.
  51. He is able to do immeasurably more than what we can ask. 
  52. You have been made in His image, created to be like God, fearfully and wonderfully made. 
  53. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. It’s his task, how much ever you try and thwart it.
  54. He will present you pure and blameless on the Day of Judgement.
  55. You don’t need to judge anything or anyone. He does the judgement, and does it right and justly.
  56. He takes your imperfections and uses them for His perfection.
  57. In your weakness he gives strength, by making himself manifest in and through the weakness. He was an example himself.
  58. He is your Shepherd. He is with you always. through the valley of the shadow of death and in the presence of your enemies
  59. He watches over you and your family-24/7/365- always. he watches over your going and coming.
  60. His peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ always
  61. Your soul is anchored to Him, to his throne of grace. So however stormy the seas, you will not sink.
  62. God disciplines his children (you) in Love, so you are perfected in faith. so be thankful to His discipline ( painful though it is for a moment).
  63. His will come back and take us back to his house in heaven, a house with many rooms specifically prepared for you.
  64. He will give you wisdom if you ask. He does not leave you without direction. His word is a Lamp to your feet and light to your path.
  65. Those who persevere will receive the Crown of Life.
  66. Whatever you do in the name of God will prosper.
  67. God is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble
  68. He is as a shade at your right hand, you will not be shaken.
  69. He makes known to you the path of life. Just follow it.
  70. He is your rock, your fortress, your deliverer, your shield, your strength. 
  71. All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful towards those who keep His commands.
  72. His anger lasts only a moment, but His favour lasts a life time.
  73. The Lord is your hiding place, he will protect you from all troubles.
  74. The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him and Hope in him. So keep your eyes on Him.
  75. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
