Trust and Glorify God before you ask- ‘Praise You God’ before ‘Give Me God’
Our Father who art in heaven,– You are his Child, Feel his Fatherly Love, He is near and accessible, Trust him like your Dad,
Hallowed be – Know his greatness,His Sovereign Almighty power, His Glory is above all things- surrender, submit, obey, follow Him. Realise he is Awesome, Immeasurable, unchanging,Omnipotent, All knowing and seeing.
Thy name– His name means everything to God, He does everything for His name’s sake- dishonouring His name should hurt us, worry us. Have reverent fear! Seek the fullness of God- everything he stands for.
Thy Kingdom Come– Know that He is King of Kings, God of gods, His Kingdom is for all who accept Him- the Kingdom of Salvation. Glorify God. His Divine Purpose.
Thy Will be done– Learn to see His providence in all things, His Supremacy and ask His will be done, not ours. Be satisfied in His doing. All Things are from Him, through Him and in Him. Seek his compassion, his patience, his justice, his righteousness
On Earth as it is in Heaven– He wants heaven for you even now. Not temporary earthly pleasures and things. So seek him with zeal. Ask for His own Glory that’s yours in Him. Be Holy. Be set apart. Exalt him as heaven exalts Him.
Give us– He knows your needs before you ask, His provision is in His promises that covers all things we need. Seek His Kingdom first and he will give all things
This day our daily bread– He promised- I am the bread, the life, the way. His grace is sufficient for us and he renews it daily. So come to Him daily
Forgive us-His Blood has cleansed all sins of humanity- past, present and future once and for all. Repent and believe to receive this promise of His
Our sins as we forgive others– we can and should forgive/love others as he forgave/loved us- in His strength, we can, at all times to all people even our enemy
Lead us not into temptations– He is our protector, our armour, our rock. He will not put us in a situation for which he has not equipped us.
Deliver us from All evils– Helps us endure all trials. He holds us in His right hand, He watches over you and will complete the work He has begun in you. He is our strength, our refuge, our ever present help in all troubles. Nothing was a surprise to Him. If you meant it for evil, God meant it for Good. In All things God does good for those who Love Him and have been called according to His Purpose. Therefore have no fear. Rest in Him, His peace. Amen
